While dining options are limited in this small Nebraska town, I'm pleased that Imperial Mexican Restaurant is available. I've tried a few different dishes here, and I've found them to be generally average to above average, though nothing particularly outstanding or extraordinary. The staff I've encountered have all been very friendly and helpful, although they can be a bit slow during dine-in service. On my most recent visit, the chips were served warm, and the salsa was quite tasty. I ordered the grilled chicken fajitas for my entrée, and they were just okay. Overall, it's not a terrible spot, but it doesn't quite measure up to top-tier Mexican dining. However, it does provide a decent option for a meal.

When we finally got up to pay, I noticed two staff members sitting by the register with their arms around each other. I asked one of the girls if everyone had quit, and she looked shocked when I explained that nobody had come back to serve us. She apologized, but the situation was frustrating. After I paid, I realized I had been overcharged and tried to call to speak with a manager. I waited on hold for a while, only to be told that the manager wasn't available. When I explained what had happened that night, the representative became defensive, particularly when I mentioned the staff sitting casually at the register. She insisted it wasn't my business, but I argued that it is my business as a paying customer who wasn't being served. I also inquired about the owner's contact information and finally got the name "Renee." However, when I asked the representative for her name, she refused to provide it, claiming it was irrelevant since it was her dad's restaurant. We won't tolerate being treated this way or being ignored, especially after paying $68 for three people and a baby. I will be sure to share this experience with others.

We had Imperial to go and it was so delicious! The margaritas topped it off! We will defiantly be ordering to go weekly to support them! So delicious ?!!
