I don't mind waiting at all but when you have a bartender that treats you like you are an annoyance you are ready to be seated. We were seated and all was well in our world. The server was lovely and charming it was her first night and she was great!!! I believe her name was Sydney. Our night started out bumpy but turned out to be fantastic. I would have given 5 stars but....
Excellent experience. Expensive but no complaint with food quality, excellent server and beautiful ambience. Yellowtail special, crab cakes, summer buratta, tiramisu and wine recommendations all spot on.
Hosts were rude and unwelcoming. Waited over 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation due to the previous party lingering at our table. Once our table was cleared and reset, I had to ask to be seated. Again, can't emphasize how rude and unwelcoming the hostesses were. One of them wouldn't even look at me. Very strange. Food was terrible. Drinks were watered down. Think overpriced banquet food that can be pushed out quickly. Waitstaff was impeccable the concepts only redeeming quality. Church and Union is nothing more than a food trough for bachelor and bachelorette parties infiltrating the city. Do yourself a favor and don't get caught up in the hype! There are so many other gems around the city that are worthy of your time and money.
Be mindful of outdoor seating- unfortunately while the staff was great, the patio is more like an alley. It is on the other side of the dumpster and there were tons of flies! We had to clear our own plate because so many flies were gathering in the sauce between courses. Steak was overcooked and by the time our server checked in, it was too late in the meal to send back.
Honestly not worth it. First of all don’t sit outside on their back patio it’s just not the same vibe as inside and kind of cringe. Secondly, how do you sell out of MULTIPLE things by 7:00pm on a Friday night? I mean come on now I can understand if it was 10pm, but 7pm on a busy weekend???? plan better if you’re in the food industry. Drinks are good, food is below average.
