This no frills restaurant serves the best fillet steaks ever. We don't eat red meat often, but when we do, this is the place to come. Delicious octopus salad, jamon, and if you're lucky, camarão for starters. The steaks are served with home made french fries and a refreshing salad. The steaks really are melt in the mouth......

Due to CoVid 19, we haven't been to Vitinhos for quite a while. We called in last night, and though now being managed by another family member, the food is just as good if not better than before. I enjoyed a delicious meal of lamb cutlets, probably the best I have ever eaten in Portugal, so juicy and tender, while my husband had his usual fillet steak, cooked to perfection. The home made chips and salad are as delicious as ever. Cheese and bread for starters, and home made desserts to finish. The house red, and a small bottle of white wine with our meal. The total was ca. 40€. The staff were very attentive and the service excellent.

I happened to be here for lunch. No meat was available, and the owner showed us some carapahu fish already on the barbecue. He also prepared a salad of tomatoes. Both the fish and the tomatoes were very good, but the price (considering also the location, very popular was much more than the average in similar places. We paid 32 euros (without invoice! , including half litre of wine and water. A similar meal, in a similar place, the day before, had cost only 20 euros.
