Brambles Deli Cafe - Navan

Today, we had lunch at Brambles in Newgrange and were disappointed by the slow service. The wait in line was excruciatingly long, and two out of the three items we wanted were not available. It appears there may be a shortage of staff as the season is winding down. I suggest looking for another place to have lunch if you are planning a tour. However, the Knowth tour was excellent with a knowledgeable guide, and Knowth is definitely worth a visit as a world-class site (just don't count on having lunch there!).

This restaurant offers a quick lunch option with delicious quiche and side salads. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. Despite a quick turnover of customers, the tables are kept spotlessly clean.

As I do not drink dairy milk I was delighted to discover the the cafe stocked soya milk for my cappuccino , however I was totally dismayed when I checked my receipt later and discovered that on top of a high charge of €3.75 for the small cappuccino that I was also charged an extra 60 cent for the Soya milk ..! Crazy I have had cappuccino made with soya in many other places and have never been charged extra..! Enjoyed the visit to the centre but not the very pricy cafe!!

On Friday, May 19, 2023 on our first day with a rental car from Dublin we visited Bru na Boinne. We had about 90 minutes before our tour of Newgrange, so we decided to have lunch at this cafe which is located on the lower level of the visitor center. This cafe is nicely done, great views out the floor to ceiling windows. Large seating area. You have to be served buffet style, selecting your choices as you go through. The service is fast and efficient. My wife had the Ham Cheese Panini. I had the Chicken Curry Salad. We both had coffee. The food is fresh and well done. No cheap, junk, fast food here. We enjoyed eating here for lunch. Next to it is the gift shop. If you visit Bru na Boinne, I highly recommend having a food or drink break here.

Nothing special, just good quality food after a good long walk in Old Bridge . Nice view of the walled garden from the restaurant.
