For years, the sportsman was a great place for flyfisher to enjoy a meal and cold drink after a long day of trout on the quality water. it is great to see the place open again; the experience on the san juan was simply not the same without the delicious tasty of a green chile cheeseburger at the end of the day! from any reason the sportsman does not remain open at 9pm, which means that anyone who decides for the big evening fishing cannot get to the restaurant before the doors close. a cucumber and I fish a weekend mid juni this year, and tried unsuccessfully both Friday and Saturday nights to spend our dinner dollar at the sportsman. the days are long in juni, so we arrived a few minutes after the closing of the doors and, while we were there, 4-5 other groups of people also stopped in the hope for dinner and a cold drink. the opportunity for the sportsman lost; maybe at the weekend it might be worth staying open until 10:30 or so?

We appreciate the loyalty of our previous customers and try to win back your hearts and stomach. To set all rumors straight... At this point, there was no change in property. Sportsman is under new management with exciting changes in the future.

After meeting the new owner Crystal and trying out a bite to eat I know they stole my mother and planted her in the kitchen. With the hospitality and friendly service you will not be disappointed. I miss mamma's goodies and who ever is in that kitchen is amazing. I look forward to taking a business trip back next time I may bring the company employees to share in the great spirits and amazing food!
