Cara Norte - Navacerrada

I put 1 star because I cannot put less We went there yesterday for dinner since we had not reserved a table elsewhere and it was difficult to get one at the last moment due to the Night in Sail and because it seemed that the place had good ratings. We ordered two hamburgers, the North Face and the goat cheese one and we do not recommend them at all. To start with, they put eggs on both of them when it wasn't listed on the menu, and they didn't put caramelized onions on top. We complained and they took the egg and put it back on us, we became allergic to the egg and there we stayed. Then the very hard bread, it is not hamburger bread but rather similar to that of baguettes, you bite into it and you hurt your gums. The super-pressed and ultra-processed meat, we should have realized when they didn't ask us about the point of the meat. As for the service, it is clear that they do not know how to manage a place like this, as soon as they have more than two tables occupied they collapse, go into a loop and start running from one place to another without being particularly decisive. Too long waiting times for nothing worthwhile in the end. Apparently we weren't the only ones who were dissatisfied with the site at that time... We don't understand the good reviews and the notes, they will be from people we know or friends because otherwise I can't explain it to myself. In short, mediocre food and pitiful service, we do not recommend this place at all.

As I have read from the comments, upon opening it was quite good, the service was incredible and they took care of the details. Now, apart from the fact that it collapses on weekends due to the large influx of people to the town, it is not worth it at all. If you want to have a beer, it's okay, but forget about eating, we ordered several portions to try everything, and there wasn't a single pass. The service has declined a lot and they are not even nice anymore, we will not return.

Cara Norte is just a minute walk from our airbnb, thus heading there for a sunday lunch. The bar looks simple and no frills, but it was crowded, and the foods weren’t disappointing. They were good, the langostinos tempura and burrata salad were really good, big enough for the both of us. Will come again if we happen to visit Navacerrada again in the future.

We like this bar. There is outdoor seating across the road as well as on the street. The menu isn’t very long but everything we had in the 2 occasions we visited was very good. Staff are friendly and a decent price. Recommended!
