Grandpa John's Nauvoo Cafe

On Sunday, October 16, 2016, while traveling on our Harley-Davidson near Nauvoo, Illinois, we stopped at a diner that was the friendliest and cleanest we've visited in years. The food, malts, and service were all excellent! We definitely plan to return someday.

During our visit, which happened to be around lunchtime, Grandpa John's had a welcoming atmosphere that drew us in from outside. The interior was quite pleasant. You place your order at the counter, receive a number, and then take a seat while your food is brought to your table. We both opted for the baked chicken salads, which featured fresh ingredients and tasted great. The price of $7.00 per salad felt a bit high, but we were satisfied with our meal. If we pass by again in the future, we would definitely stop by.

6.99 for 4 item breakfast and 10.99 for all you can eat. Limited low-carb items. Descent breakfast comfort foods. Nice environment and staff.

We had a very good time at the cabins in Nauvoo. Highly recommended!
