Lot 80 - NATURALISTE

The music was pretty awful... Two kids were playing guitar. I appreciate their efforts, but I don't understand how this place is considered a jazz bar.

It's a little hard to find with the sign on the tree at the start of the driveway as it's next to Wise Winery. We went Wednesday for lunch and though it was colder winter day we got a table next to the window with the warm sun streaming in. There were only 4 tables taken and so the only reason this didn't get a 5 rating was we had a friendly bubbly waitress who seemed to be hustling us along with ordering as if she needed to seat another 20 covers. That aside my wife ordered the Tasmanian salmon, she had fish the whole week, and loved it along with the vegetables in broth. My steak, just a porterhouse was tasty as was the salad though I did skip the sauce as I am not a blue cheese fan. There's a couple of leather couches to relax there too so it could be an enjoyable long lunch with a book and their cider.

A few of us visited this restaurant in the evening and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was fantastic, the service was quick and friendly, and the food and wine were exceptional. The only downside was that my steak was served on a cold plate. On a positive note, my wife mentioned that the toilets were impressive.

We visited Lot 80 on a cold wet day with friends. We were welcomed by staff, who are very friendly. There were heaters on and the food was delicious, such a lovely outlook. It would be beautiful outside on a warmer day.

We visited here as part of a wine tour - a group of 9 girls. The place is in a lovely setting and the food was delicious. Unfortunately our whole experience was ruined by the bar man. He was rude to us from the minute we stepped into the restaurant saying there was an issue with our booking. Basically anything we asked for was met with a snide remark, a roll of the eyes and a snigger - absolutely disgusting behaviour for someone who works in such a customer focussed environment. He not only spoke to us this way but other customers and other members of staff. It was such a shame as the owner was running around working really hard to ensure meals were served in a timely manner as they were busy, all the hard work being ruined by the one member of staff. We will not be returning due to the shocking customer service which is a shame.
