Umami Asian Fusion

Has become a new favorite place for outstanding food and service. Have already shared with several about this very special place. Wish U were open for lunch????

This is my favorite Asian restaurant in the South Nashville area. Great service, food is incredibly (highly recommend any sushi roll or the Korean fried chicken), and a nice atmosphere to socialize in. Michelle is an excellent server and will take care of you!!

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. I’m a huge fan of great customer service and Michelle gave us top notch service. I went with some friends that are regulars here and we sat at the bar and Michelle took great care of us. She remembered their names and orders from previous visits and she recommended the sushi boat since the 4 of us were considering sushi. It came with a salad or soup, which I was not expecting and made the overall experience even better. $16 for sushi and a salad or soup is a great deal in my opinion, plus the sushi was excellent! If you’re looking for great food at a great price with excellent service, look no further than Umami Asian Fusion! You won’t be disappointed, I promise. Parking: There are spots right near the door and right around the corner from the restaurant. We went on a Monday night and it was very easy to find parking, I’m sure on weekends it might take a bit more time to find a spot.

My family and I absolutely love umami. My son and husband eat sushi weekly and the Korean wings are the best I have ever had in my life. The service is great. The owners are friendly and attentive. Tuesday night is trivia night and it is crowded so get there early to order. We would be lost without umami.

I’ve been coming here since high school and my recent visit was by far the worst. The owner never seems to care for our table everytime we come in which I can get by. This time I had a roach in my rice and i simply told her, i’m not eating this neither is my friend. She proceeded to take it away without apologizing, then at the very end charged me full price for my meal (the rice was included in mine and took off the rice on my friends which she asked for. Even if she gave me a discount i would’ve been satisfied. I’m a manager at a restaurant myself and i was by far shocked at how she didn’t even try to apologize till the very end when it came to giving a tip. I feel tipping is earned and not given especially as a server I understand it can be frustrating when someone doesn’t tip you even though you thought you had good service. I proceeded to not tip for the simple fact i was paying full price for something that wasn’t my mistake and how she handled it. I’ve seen her also yell at her servers from across the restaurant which is also extremely discomforting. I proceeded to call back mentioning how I wanted a refund and I got thee most snarky and nasty response. She told me “Yes I remember you (my name you didn’t tip. I’ll give you a refund” and hung up without again apologizing. She also tried downplaying it by saying “I’m pretty sure it was a fly”. Even if it was a fly it was still a bug, we are still in a pandemic I can probably get sick off of that. She maybe nice to you at first to your face but she is a very evil spirited woman. Wouldn’t recommend coming. (btw if this gets deleted I will continue to re upload.
