I’m from out of town and came by for the first time today. As soon as I walked in I got the feel of the vibe and atmosphere. I felt welcomed and at home.They make all their food FRESH, which was something I take great consideration for. While I waited for my food I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Mr. Tim, (granddaddy) and his staff members. The food was hot, fresh, fresh and absolutely delicious. Totally on point, start to finish. Hot chicken sandwich was perfect, fried okra excellent, classic greens and one of the best chess pie fillings I've ever had. Staff treated us better than my family when we dined in! Will be back many times.

Granddaddy is the nicest and funniest guy you’ll meet. I got the mild chicken and it blows Hattie B’s out of the water. It’s way more flavorful than any Nashville hot chicken around, they intentionally focus on flavor over heat. If you like it really hot though, they still have you covered. Using all of ghost, habanero, cayenne, Carolina Reaper peppers and more, they can still dial up the heat.
