Capitol Grille - Nashville

My date and I had an exceptional evening. The wait was staff was attentive but not intrusive, The Artic Char was delicious. The staff had taken it upon themselves to spread rose petals on the table before our arrival. All-in-all very nice.

This is the very best dinning has to offer in Nashville. Yes it is a little pricy, but you DO get what you pay for. Great food and great service that can't be beat!

Went to The Capitol Grille for New Year's Eve. Reservations at 9:30. Finally seated at about 10:15. Service was so slow and they were not really busy. Often had an empty glass and had to ask the wait staff for another drink. Our party of six received our 5th course at 12:30 a.m. Unfortunately we rang in the New Year waiting on the main course. We complained several times but it didn't seem to matter. Way too expensive for the service and food. I have had better food at a Jamaican resort. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

After hearing all the hype about the Capitol Grille, I was excited to be dining there. Our party of 10 arrived for our reservation at 8 PM and ordered around 8:30. Our bread did not arrive until 9:30 (after we asked for it! . The first course arrived a bit before 10 and the main course finally arrived at 10:30. When the food arrived, I was appalled to see that my $32 meal consisted of an approximately 5 oz steak, 1 oz of pureed potatoes, and 1 stalk of asparagus! The little food that I had was good, but was barely better than what you can order at an Applebee's or an Outback. This restaurant combines unwarranted pretension with some of the slowest service I have ever seen. This restaurant may have the most expensive menu in Nashville as well as the smallest portion sizes. If you are in Nashville and want a great meal, try Mambu, F. Scott's, Sunset Grill or any place other than here!

In random way to use the restroom and ended with a fantastic restroom made in the early 1900s. it reminded me of the movie, the shining. we also checked the grillable and man, they took care of us. they made us an old fashion where our bartender fired a board to give us a smokey taste to our drink and stamped the ice with their seal. it was an amazing experience!
