Collins Brothers Chowder - Nashua

This is the best soup place in the world. I actually cry when they close for the season, and when they reopen, it makes life feel worthwhile again.

We traveled from Alabama specifically for the clam chowder, and it did not disappoint! This cozy little spot offers takeout meals along with a daily soup. I tried the lobster roll special, which featured cold lobster on a toasted bun, paired with the clam chowder. It was absolutely delicious!

I decided to try five different varieties, just in case the chowder was the standout and everything else fell short, as is often the case. I opened each one and sampled them one by one, and to my delight, each was better than the last! I'm sure they’ve heard all the jokes about soup Nazis, but I’ve often wondered why more places don’t manage to pull this off as well as they do. Having managed a 300-seat family-owned restaurant and nightclub, I’m familiar with the shortcuts kitchens often take, and I can confidently say that this soup is the real deal! I've only written one other review on Yelp in my life, but these folks truly deserve the recognition. Simply put, they SHOULD be famous! You won’t be disappointed!

Had the chicken and wild rice.. The charged $15 a quart and They should call the soup Pepper and wild rice..

I've tasted better soup at the airport. It tasted like it came from a can that's been on the back shelf for the past 5 years. Pass on this one.
