Having heard sooo many things about this place- it just didn't let me down !! There was wait time for good 20mins!! Being partly open space- on a rainy day- it was hell crowded!! Had it not been a rainy day - the place wouldn't be so mucky and there would be puppet shows and other activities! They also have bullock cart rides and horse rides! It had "a village" kind of a set up! This place doesn't have any gas - it is all made on a chulh! i.e a stove made up of mud and heat supplied through burning of wood! When we finally were seated- the orders flew in real quick! This place only and only has misal- and it is just mind blowing!! Totally loved it!! It is served with papad, curd, onions, normal curry and spicy curry! And the pav is toasted with butter... Absolutely filling! The gulachi (jaggery) jalebis were good... read more
Ambience gives a rustic feeling yet it's quite good. Service was also pretty fast. Coming to the signature dish , Chiulivarchi Misal Pav, couldn't figure out the smoky flavour but apart from this misal was tasty and spices were balanced not too spicy not too bland. Papad and Curd came as freebies and did justice to the misal. Pav were soft and coating of ghee made it more soft. Also, tried Gulachi Jalebi-made in ghee-it was crisp and had just right amount of sweetness. The sweetness of jaggery(yes, and not sugar) could be felt in every bite of Jalebi. Overall,a good place to hang out in a pretty cool location (atleast during the rains).@
Used to be a great place back in the day. I wouldn't say it has deteriorated but I just don't get the same feeling eating there now. Again one of the finest places for Missal fanatics. :)
2/5 taste 3.5/5 ambience A nice place to visit with your family. This misal was something different from what we have in mumbai/thane or pune or satara per se. But a very different and pleasant experience. The ambience of hotel was great all in all.

The gulachi (jaggery) jalebis were good too- awesome when you comsume it hot! To drink we tried the Solkadi, lassi and Taak! Loved loved the taak- had I not been filled with the Misal- I would have drank 3-4 of these! They also have "chulhi varchi ice cream" i.e the ice cream batter is boiled on the chulh itself! ???? Liked that too ???? Hell lot of varieties in paan- I had the fire pan- can't explain what I felt and how I felt! But liked it ❤️ An afternoon well spent - but would love to visit this place when I would get to explore more parts! PS- the only thing I didn't personally like is the hygiene, it is weird too see them serving papad and pav with bare hands! I hope they work on this! ????
