Old English Fish N' Chips Naremburn

Best fish and Chips I've had for years. We live in Lanecove, discovered this place yesterday, we had the baramundi battered, must try the calamari rings. we'll be back.

Decided to pick up some fish and chips for my son on the way home from work last week. Have lived in the area for a while, but have never purchased from here. When I initially walked in to order I was apprehensive as the shop hasn't looked like it had been cleaned for years. I decided that ill give it a go! Ordered crumbed fish and some potato scallops. When I got home my wife cut into the fish and asked me if it was cooked as it was still soft. It was cooked, however the fish was very gelatinous and slimy. We decided not to eat the fish -at least we had some potato scallops... although we didnt eat these either, they were way too greasy. Binned the whole meal and went to another local fish shop.

This fish shop is located on Willoughby Road , near the intersection of Willoughby Road and the Gore Hill Freeway.The area is usually known as the Naremburn Shopping Centre. There's plenty of parking outside.The staff are friendly. I found the meals reasonably priced. A basic fish and chips is $11. For that, I got 2 pieces of fish and a tray of chips. There are tables outside so you can sit in the sun to enjoy your meal.I would certainly go again.

The last time I ordered for takeaway I waited over an hour and a half. I called for an update and I thought it would be easier to drive in. However once there in person and waiting after notifying staff for pick up, they gave my order to the delivery driver in front of me. I was notified by the app that my order has left. Found out driver had my order and I drove there for no reason. Bad communication between staff and no answer from an email I sent a while back.

The girls in front was doing horrible service and won’t be coming back .
