Nice place for a friendly family meal, food is not amazing, very simple and not many vege options, but still ok. Large lemon balms and good cocktails
If it's busy, don't worry. Your famines are gone before you get your food. Bit pricy considering how much food you get. Nothing like the pictures looked online. We now know what place to avoid.
I loved the beach house (Northlakes), when it opened, but it went downhill after the first year. This week I had to visit a family member from abroad, and despite two previous bad experiences there a few years ago, we decided to bring her back there as... they liked it before, but it was disappointed terrible. The tables were with the remains of previous customers and when we asked for a clean table, the employees said everything. We then ordered food containing two bowls of chicken wings of different flavors. When they arrived, it was like they had old boiled wings one day and squirted sauce on them. The wings were barley warm, rock hard and meat like leather. It was embarrassing to have an overseas visitor and to present them with this dirt as a "local" meal. $60 value of fingers “food” (and I use this term very loose) and the majority of it went back. The rest is stuck in my teeth like leather string and I'll pick it up for days. We drove to Tavern. I'm afraid this is strike three for the Beach House (Northlakes) and we won't be back.
I was at the restaurant last night my husband I had the lamb shanks It came out in a bath of broth that was supposed to be mint sauce the broccolini was limp the meat was tasteless I did complain something I never do...but for $52 for the 2 I thought we should have got better. The response was this is the way it comes but you can lodge a complaint which I’m doing. Never will I go back again.
