Terry (one of the owners) lost two good customers today. My fiancé and I are (were) frequent customers of lucky dawgs. We honestly enjoyed going, the burgers and chili fries were amazing (only went because of the food). Occasionally we would have a bad experience with the owners and employees but brushed it off cause we liked the food so much. My first negative encounter there was with an employee (who quit and i don't blame him). He was just in a bad mood i guess. I asked this man a simple question about their burgers and he proceeds to blurt out the most unexpected, rudest answer i was so taken aback. The second bad encounter was with Terry, she seemed to be geeked up i honestly don’t know what her deal was that day. She was super short with us, seemed very irritated blurting things out slamming the pen/receipt on the counter. She forgot something for an elderly mans order and when he proceeds so ask for what was missing she gives him the most nasty face and begins to spaz out looking for the item. Next encounter was also with Terry. Same thing she seemed to be tweaking, super upset running around like a headless chicken. I didn’t get out of the car that day because i did not want my meal to be ruined because of her attitude. Again she was super rude to my fiancé she messed up both of our order’s as well which we were both to uncomfortable to go back and ask to be fixed. To add on top of that my fiancé witnessed she literally screamed at her new employee rudely to get back to work after the man literally only stood there for like 3 seconds to catch his breath. Today was the cherry on top for me. We stopped by to get lunch, giving them another chance since we thought we weren't coming back hence our last experience. Everything seemed to be going well until we started biting into raw french fries. Again to uncomfortable to ask for them to be replaced. After we finish we clean up our table and i start walking to the car while my fiance throws away the trash which is next to the take out window. He sets the little red baskets on the counter. Terry proceeds to rudely yell at him to at least throw away like the three napkins that were on the baskets… To which he politely answers oh im sorry yes (he’s to nice). Meanwhile Terry is giving off the nastiest facial expressions. There’s no reason i should be hearing you yell at my fiancé all the way from the car Terry.. unacceptable. Moral of the story customer service sucks and so does the food now so there’s nothing really to go back to. If you have read this far… beware of this place.

Stopped at Lucky Dawgs while on vacation from Illinois. Hotdogs and fries were good, very small portions on the fries. Nice set up, you can eat outside. Nice place to stop if you are looking for a Chicago Dawg.

Authentic chicago hotdogs done right. They make them like you get them in chicago. Tamales. Are goid cant go wrong.
