Greek Gourmet - Naples

Food was excellent, service was great and the value was excellent, too. Best Greek Salad and gyros I ever had. Try the Pizza, wonderful as well, but it does take 15-20 minute wait but well worth it. Enjoy...

The Greek Gourmet is just wonderful! We had the pleasure to eat there while on vacation in Bonita Springs. The take out food is packaged well, perfect for carrying back to our hotel room. All of the take away dishes seem to be of very high quality. We had a very pleasant wait in the restaurant while waiting for our food. We sipped some Greek wine and enjoyed the charming painting and lively atmosphere of the open kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food was the best I have had outside of Greece, and quite possibly inside of Greece! We had spanokopita, souvlaki, Greek salads, soup and sandwich. It was just wonderful! The tatziki and pita served with the souvlaki was perfect. Plenty of food to save for lunch the next day, though it was so delicious, I had to stop myself from eating it in one go! The owner came and introduced himself personally, he is a very generous man, and was quite concerned for our short wait. It just goes to show that the staff is very ready to assist and act professional.

I had a delicious well prepared meal here with our party of 4 in February and I intend to return next time I visit the SW Florida area. Only thing I did not like was the Grape leaves ...All the Pita items and the spanokopita (sp) as well as the soup and salads were very good.

I went to Naples, FL and my mom and I didn't know what restaurant to eat at. Then I decided to try Greek Gourmet, not expecting anything that great. But then I tried their shrimp, pita bread, Baklava for dessert, and lots of delicious food. I strongly suggest you should try this out-of-this-world place!

Their website indicated that they open at 10 AM. I arrived at 10:30 AM, but no one was there. A few minutes later, someone finally arrived and started to unlock the door. He informed me that they actually don’t open until 11 AM. It makes you wonder why they bother posting their hours online. I went to run an errand and returned at 11, but they still weren't open. I waited outside until 11:20 AM, when the same guy finally unlocked the door. I spoke to the manager to let him know about the incorrect hours on the website, but he seemed completely indifferent. You would think that after such a long wait, they might offer me a complimentary baklava. I ordered takeout for four people and drove home. When we sat down to eat, we discovered that one of our items was missing. I called the restaurant to ensure I wasn’t charged for it. They told me I could come back (a 15-minute drive) and they would resolve the issue for me. I was about to explain that I just wanted the item removed from my credit card bill, but the person hung up on me. I called again and spoke with the manager, and I had to push him to get the missing item taken off my bill. On the bright side, the food is excellent, which is fortunate because otherwise, their terrible service would likely drive them out of business.
