Zorba Lounge - Naperville

My favorite bar for enjoying time with friends and sipping on cocktails. The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, and the appetizers are delicious.

This is a fantastic bar and cocktail spot featuring a well-curated selection of whiskeys, including an impressive range of Bourbons (notably several varieties of WhistlePig), Scotch (with various years of Macallan), as well as gins, tequilas, and amaros. It’s connected to the excellent Italian restaurant, Che Figata, where we enjoyed delicious grilled octopus and tagliatelle pasta with pork. It's a wonderful pairing of experiences right in our backyard, where Naperville meets Warrenville.

It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday, and it didn't feel too much like a hotel bar, despite being a non-hotel guest. I really enjoyed the drinks, which had a nice variety while staying on trend. They have a good selection of amaro and are open to making most drinks you request. The bartender was knowledgeable about classic cocktails. The menu cocktails are priced at $15, and if you're in the mood, they allow you to order appetizers from the Italian restaurant next door.

After being cooped up for a year and a half due to Covid-19, we decided to venture out and celebrate my 82nd birthday. We chose to try a new restaurant in Naperville called Che Figata, which is associated with the Hotel Arista. To access the restaurant from the hotel, you have to pass through a charming little bar named Zorba’s. This turned out to be the highlight of our evening. The bar was beautifully decorated and had an upscale ambiance. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, and he crafted a rather pricey drink for my wife called a Crystal Cascade, which was the perfect way to kick off our night. If you're looking for a place with a cool, contemporary vibe, and don’t mind spending a bit more, I recommend checking out Zorba’s after work or before dinner. That was the enjoyable part. During our hotel stay, we decided to have breakfast at this restaurant. The service was mediocre. We were the only customers there, yet it took more than half an hour for our breakfast (ham and eggs) to arrive. The waiter seemed to have a laid-back attitude.
