Angèle Restaurant Bar - Napa

Fantastic food and service! We stopped by later in the evening, but the staff was incredibly friendly. They have an impressive selection of local wines at great prices. The pâté and escargot made for outstanding appetizers. The beef short rib and sweetbreads were also excellent. It's a charming little spot—definitely worth a visit!

The service provided by Geoff the bartender was outstanding. However, we were surprised to find that there was no Caesar salad on the menu. Having both worked in the food industry, we know how simple it is to prepare a good Caesar salad! Additionally, we were disappointed to see that Thousand Island dressing was not available either—it's quite easy to make as well. We were really let down, especially since we were just looking for a light lunch with a bottle of wine.

The food was quite good. However, the truffle risotto priced at $48 was disappointingly small, more like a starter portion. Additionally, I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for $25, which was only a tiny amount and seemed to be the last portion from the bottle, as my glass was filled with sediment from the bottom. That’s not acceptable! When I raised this issue, the response was just a smile, which felt unsatisfactory.

I ordered the half chicken dinner entree, but I was disappointed because the flavors were really lacking.

Supposedly dog friendly, hostess very congenial, sat outside for dog, but manager doesn’t want her on bench????? Nasty cloth bench must be more valuable than the flea market they bought it from. Waiter Mauricio was outstanding. Had an appetizer and went to Sweetie Pies next door for sandwich. Escargot was excellent. Should be noted our dog is a 12 pound rescue that has PTSD from abuse including being thrown out of car with her 5 puppies that didn’t survive. Extreme separation anxiety and has to sit next to her Mom; but not on this priceless bench.
