You pay for the use through a vending machine (you can also buy towels if you don’t have one with you a towel is required to use the baths). The owners are really friendly and they accept people with tattoos. Also check out the souvenirs you can buy too.
My first time at a public bath. Wow it was great. Fun artwork everywhere. Clean and beautiful. My Japanese is pretty good, so I don't know how it would be for non-Japanese speakers, but for us the staff was helpful and the steps were easy. Bring your own towel to save yourself 500 yen per person. Bath fee was 660 yen per person on top of that. Well worth it!
Beautiful arty Onsen for men and women. It’s decorated very colorful and in the inside you can see a big elephant watching the bath. Please follow the Japanese onsen rules. Inform yourself about this etiquette before entering it. You can buy a lot of nice souvenirs at the counter.
They should have a minimum age for entry. We shared the bath with 4 young children that were 3-6 years old and it made the experience miserable. Yelling, banging, splashing...
Beautiful, relaxing and warm. The towel they sell ¥500) is pretty small, so you might want to bring your own, but they have a hairdryer available too, so no worries
