The Candy Store In Nanton

Enjoy a nice afternoon drive followed up by the best candy selection around. Top it off with a really delicious ice cream cone and make sure you try their delicious waffle cones. I'd also recommend you stop off at the park or air museum while you're in Nanton.

Read through the reviews, this isn’t an isolated occurrence. A staff member yelled at a little girl and made her cry. The parents were unable to reason with the staff. People who can’t tolerate normal child behaviour shouldn’t run candy/toy stores. My family will never go to this candy store again. I’d give them zero stars if I could.

We just stopped at the store for the first time. They definitely have a large variety which is great for hard to fine candy. A box of Mike and Ike Hot Tamales was $4.50, so we passed but we did grab an ice cream.

A fun place to visit, especially for kids. There are a lot of specific kinds of candy you won’t find elsewhere. The store is cute and has a cheerful atmosphere but it is rather cluttered and cramped, especially when it’s busy, and there isn’t a whole lot of parking available. Definitely still worth a stop though if you’re passing through Nanton!

I’ve been to this Candy Store lots throughout the years while passing through. The selection has always been great the workers were always kind. Today, I purchased several items and wanted to try some as soon as I got into the car. I noticed one of my items was 2 months passed the best before date because I was just outside, I went back inside to ask to exchange it. Upon entry, I explained how the candy was expired and I wanted to pick a new one. The cashier explained that she did not know what to do as she was new and so someone else chimed in. She proceeded to tell me in a hostile tone to “use the correct terminology” and that “candy cannot expire”. I’m aware that there is a difference between “expire” and “best before”, though upon returning I was not thinking thoroughly about terminology. Additionally, I am aware it is not illegal to sell products past their best before dates, but as a consumer I do have the right to decide if I want to consume it. As the candy store can be a little expensive due to importing fees and such, I didn’t want to spend my money on something that could be of lesser quality when other options were available. Thankfully, I was able to exchange it, but with a different candy (due to all the rest also being past the best before date). Likely will not go out of my way to return.
