Contribuiți la feedbackAcross street from hotel where we stayed. Very convenient - right at tram stop. Had salad and seafood pizza. requested extra crisp and blistered OK. Cane just as requested & was very good. Very friendly service; has lovely patio in back; many other guests for lunch. I'd go again.
Staff were very friendly and food was very well prepared, looked good and tasted excellent Spot on..................
We stop over in Nancy three or four times a year. We like it but have always struggled to find a good place to eat, sadly most restaurants around Stanislas seem to be tourist traps offering a poor quality/price ratio. This restaurant is an absolute gem. Situated in the St Catherine's area, opposite a huge building project it offers not only a very warm and attentive service but a clever level of interesting modern Italian cuisine. The anti pasta was a treat and the Carpaccio superb. It is not my nature to review restaurants as one man's meat etc. but this warrants a visit. We would make a detour to visit again.
We arrived (five of us) just after the restaurant had opened for the evening, utterly soaked through thanks to the typical Nancy rain. We were immediately welcomed by the delightful waiter. He immediately saw that some of the party would prefer English and switched to it quickly. He was very interested in where we were from and making sure we were relaxed and happy. We all chose pizzas, although the "suggestions" also looked interesting, and were extremely happy with what we were given. Really good portion sizes and the taste was sublime. The waiter kept checking on us, making sure we were alright and having some banter with us. Desserts were equally enticing and there were clean plates all round afterwards. The prices were very reasonable for what we had, although the waiter himself was priceless. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be doing utmost to go again soon!
We visited L'Allegria on a very wet evening in August 2013, but it was too new to appear on Tripadvisor at the time. I'm really pleased to be able to give it a good review now it has appeared! My friend and I had accompanied my son who was coming to study in Nancy for a year and we ventured out of our hotel round the corner to find somewhere to eat. It was pouring with rain and we blew into the restaurant dripping wet, and tired after our long journey. The lovely proprietor and his staff immediately welcomed us and took our soggy coats away to dry, bringing us menus and asking if we were English. It was pretty quiet but still had atmosphere and the pizzas and wine were excellent. We found the service attentive but not overwhelming and enjoyed our evening, with the price being reasonable too. The proprietor welcomed us to Nancy and told my son he was welcome to call and see them any time! This reflected our good experience of how kind the Nancy people are, and made us feel really at home there on our first visit.
