Contribuiți la feedbackI returned to this restaurant for lunch because I had been craving their Rueben sandwich for a while. It had been too long since I was last in Nanaimo, but I was fortunate to have my wife with me this time. I ordered the Rueben again and my wife had the fish and chips, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The portions were generous as well. The staff was excellent, with our server making us feel right at home with their friendly and personalized service. We will definitely be returning next time we are in town, hopefully next summer!
The service at this restaurant was quick and attentive. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was served promptly and was delicious, with generous portions of high-quality ingredients.
We recently dined at this restaurant and were extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. Our table was dirty and unhygienic, with sticky substances on the surface. Even after requesting for all tables to be cleaned, there were still glass rings left behind. This is especially concerning during the time of COVID-19. Despite my brother and daughter enjoying their meals, my order of hot wings was overcooked. I had to send them back as they were inedible. Overall, the experience left much to be desired.
I don't know the Nanaimo Pub scene well, but I'm inclined to think that the Landlubber is high among them. It is fucked out of the way in a suburban shopping center, but it obviously serves its mosquitoes well.
Stopped in for lunch twice in December, sat at the bar both times and the servers were quick and friendly, first time I was in had the seafood chowder with garlic bread, really good choice and seemed very fresh, now the second time, the second...time was the best, had the Rueben sandwich and fries, it was fantastic, if I wasn 't so pressed for time I would have ordered another on, without fries though, haha. The corned beef was very juicy, not dry at all, not a tonne of meat but it didn 't need it, I 'd way rather have quality over quantity, and I 'm not saying there was not a lot of meat on the sandwich, there was, as Rolls Royce would put it, an adequate amount , perfect I say! It 's served on marble rye and comes warm with fries, fries were great too by the way. So if you are in the area and like a good Rueben, this is your spot, they seem to have a good selection of beer on tap and plenty of seating as well.
