Chicago Connection - Nampa

This is among the best pizza we’ve tried in Idaho. We all know pizza is usually better when enjoyed at the restaurant, but this place really goes the extra mile by equipping their delivery vehicles with ovens to keep the pizza hot. I don’t mind having to cut the pizza at home, and even if they can’t deliver to our future address, I would gladly drive across Nampa just to eat there. Plus, we haven’t even had a chance to try the lasagna pie yet—that's definitely on our list for next time! A nice bonus is that the pizza reheats really well, too!

Wow, the Antipasto salad is fantastic for just $14! My wife orders it every time we visit. Although the Nampa location doesn't have a salad bar, they offer a variety of salads. I wanted to snap a photo of their pound of chicken wings, but the BBQ and Sweet Thai dipping sauces were too delicious to resist. I even used that sauce on the cucumbers, carrots, and lettuce, which complemented the wings perfectly. The six breadsticks were so good that they made other chains’ offerings taste like frozen food.

We are currently at home with Covid, so we decided to order from Chicago Connection. I placed my order online, requesting delivery between 3:45 and 4:15. However, the delivery arrived at 1:45. When I informed the delivery driver that it was too early, she mentioned she would take it back and prepare fresh food for the correct delivery time. Although they returned at the appropriate time, unfortunately, they did not deliver fresh items; my sandwich was soggy and the pizza was cold and congealed. Ultimately, we had to throw the food away. We've always enjoyed Chicago Connection, but they really let us down this time.

Chicago Connection Pizza is considered a treat in our house, however, on this latest online order I had requested the pizza uncut as it stays warmer longer when uncut. Hubby was not going to be home right away. Also, normally the delivery time is about 55 minutes. So about 70 minutes later and no pizza I called the store. I was advised that the delivery driver left 19 mins ago and I was the first on his list. WOW! That was surprising as I live about 5 minutes away if that. I received my pizza, which by the way was delish! My complaint is the length of time for delivery and my pizza was cut, which was not what I ordered. Here is hoping the next order is better.

Holy **** this place has taken a dive!! Ordered a deep dish and it was a frozen pre made crust that was then filled with toppings by rainman. I mean the deep dish was ****, DO NOT order!!!! The antipasto salad was ****. It was that lawn clipping type salad with **** toppings. Go to Idaho pizza instead or be my guest and waste your money here!!!
