Artcaffé - Nairobi

Hi, today I took a UK visitor to Artcafe the Hub, our first problem was the digital menu, yuk, eventually we viewed it on the cracked screened phone belonging to the waitress, so we ordered only to be told what we ordered was off the menu today ! So we went back to the cracked screen and ordered again, my friend ordered the Halumi sandwich and with salad and I the beef steak , when they arrived we were excited they looked fabulous, my friend was over the moon with her choice and thoroughly enjoyed it I however have a different story ! The sandwich indeed looked worthy of the price however on the first bight all was revealed I could not bight through the meat , I battled through the first half and REMOVED A PIECE politely asked the waitress to ask the chef to try and eat it, needless to say i took the second home and gave it to my Dog even he had trouble chewing it a 70kg Rottweiler! SO NOW YOU KNOW.

A restaurant or a café is rsted good on all the three aspects, food, service and atmosphere. If you wished to be treated differently and be ignored literally, then go to this cafe. As we walked in, and sat at the table, a waitress, sees us help ourselves at the table. After 15 min of waiting, we actually wave at her and call her and she shruggs us off! We thought she would come to our service, but nah! I had to walk up to the Bar attendant, Moses and he immediately apologized and came to serve us. He made everything better! But this one lady waitress, I won't name her, but she made us feel insulted and ignored.

Service seems much better the last few times I've been there. Kudos to the management. Food is served well and tasty. Thanks

One name Ann Macharia You have an amazing employee hold on to her. She personified what service industry is all about (I work in the industry). She made our day ans my mums birthday cannot praise her enough. If anything was out She made sure she had alternatives that even my sister eho normally is not adventurous was compelled to try. Loved it . Probably my new favourite venue

Artcafe is good, though increasingly becoming overpriced. Avoid the home fries , as that 's just a small plate of cubed mashakura-style waru sold at just under kshs 800. The Hub branch usually doesn 't have many things that are on the menu. Artcaffé, you need to up your game or shut down.
