Went as part of a large party that had preordered. Sadly the food was a little cold. The waiting staff also needed a little more support from a more senior and experienced team member when dealing with a large table. It felt a little as if they'd been dropped in at the deep end. Some music may have also helped the atmosphere, as it was quiet as you almost felt rude talking. It was also unimpressive that the chef took it upon himself to leave the kitchen and shout across the room at a table to confirm it's order. However, the pub has been renovated to a high standard and it is in a beautiful location. We were also welcomed in a friendly way by the bar staff. Had a wonderful dining experience at The Gate Hangs Well Seasons, the gent behind the bar was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome into this lovely pub. What I found rather unique about this pub was the inclusion of a games room, complete with a PS3, dartboard and foosball table! A nice touch as it's rare to find a pub with these amenities nowadays. The food was absolutely top notch from starter to main and presented absolutely beautifully. Left feeling full and happy and would easily recommend this pub as a place to go on your journey.
