Pier House - Nags Head

Staff has no Communication between server and kitchen. The kitchen was off in its own world not paying attention to how the food was being made. When you are charging more than 20$ for a burger and adding 4% fees for people paying with cards you expect yourmeals to be correct the first time and not having to send them back to be corrected. I was simply trying to celebrate my wifeand I?s anniversary and we couldn?t even eat the food once it was out because they couldn?t pay attention to the orders theywere getting. The food was also cold and undercooked when we first received it.

My family has been eating at the nags head fishing pier since 1997. We haven?t been to the obx in about 4 years and we were devastated to find out the main restaurant has been closed for 3 summers now. All that?s left is the tiki bar with a small menu.Wanted to leave them a good review because I saw people complaining about the menu being smaller than the one online. This isbecause the main restaurant is closed!! I will say they really do need to update the website and voice mail because it stillsays the restaurant in open 4-5 days a week from 2-9pm. If they ever open back up the main restaurant we will 100% be back!!This place is an institution of the outer banks!!

Average basic meal, but it was a pre-summer menu. But the crab used on the green fries tomato's tasted like it came from a can... no, thank you.

The guys and I were staying close to the Pier so we decided to get some much needed food at the pier house. Entering the restaurant was immediately greeted by a host who was attentive and immediately sat us! I could tell they were short staffed...She got us drinks before the server came to the table which took a load of the server very professional! We waited 20 mins for the server to finally come to the table and we must have heard her say to every table that she was the manager and one of the only servers that day. Take it as you will. The chicken wings were extremely dry and the pulled pork sandwich was also as such which was disappointing. The crab legs were very small and tasteless over all a place that was convenient and on the pier should be better. Very disappointed Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly on the pier

Came to fish and eat celebrating my birthday first time it sucked and the cashier was an older fellow and kept asking me strange questions do I play basketball how tall am I on and on about how I looked I just wanted to fish and have a good time with my husband to me and my husband he was being racist I spent about+15min trying to explain to him that no I don't play ball and I just want to relax and enjoy fishing with my husband on the pier you know what happened next a Caucasian ma and his daughter came up and asked for fishing poles while I'm still waiting for mines and what happened next I felt like screaming crying and shout out BUT THE BLACK COUPLE WE ARE TURNED AROUND AND WALKED AWAY my husband said its ok baby but being from NYC this was the first time I actually had that happen to me so on that Note I WILL BE GOING BACK TO SEE IF IT WAS JUST MY IMAGINATION ???? ?
