Nagambie Lakes Entertainment Centre

Nagambie has a lot to offer, being just a short hour and a half north of Melbourne and situated on a beautiful lake. It's also known for its high-quality black caviar. However, many of the takeaway options on the main street have disappointed us in the past. Today, we decided to take a bit more time and had lunch on the deck of the Ghetto Bistro, overlooking the lake. The service was friendly and laid-back, and both the pigeon and gnocchi we ordered were delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. It's definitely worth stopping by to enjoy the lovely setting. I must admit, though, that our second and third visits were not quite as impressive, which left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Bad restaurant, worst service! we had a booking for 14 people for an 80th birthday. about 80 minutes after ordering we were recommended that the meals were 'lost'. Obviously, it is really quite difficult to get a register card for 'table 20'... we started to worry about as during ordering the four waiters behind the counter started to blow. as compensation we received the secular greasiest cheese and garlic bread, read soggy, cold, congeant cheese on the head some hotdog rolls, and one said it would be another 35 minutes before we had our meal. 35 minutes came and went (if this had not been an occasion to celebrate 80 wonderful years of life, we would have been up and down) until after another 15...more

We had a wonderful dining experience last night at this restaurant. Despite being busy, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was a delightful surprise—delicious, affordable, and generously portioned. I ordered the beetroot and goat cheese arancini, which were superb. The rest of our group enjoyed their schnitzels and parmas, and everyone left very satisfied. While the decor could use some updating and it did get quite loud, the quality of the food and service more than made up for it. I highly recommend this bistro!

A Pleasant Surprise. I had the pleasure of dining at the Nagambie Lakes Entertainment Centre on February 10, 2013, and it truly exceeded my expectations! Although the exterior doesn’t seem like much, stepping inside reveals a charming dining area. We chose to sit on the deck, which offers a stunning view of the lake. As we enjoyed our meal, we watched water skiers, jet skiers, and boats gliding across the water under the scorching 35-degree sun. First and foremost, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive, which made our dining experience delightful. Fish and chips very well cooked, lambskin cooked perfectly. would have been better if they were kept on the garlic in the maische .. highly recommended, great eating, service usual against lunch service but with a smile. excellent view ..
