Bear cups is great, the place, the staff, the services and the food are great. a perfect place for everyone.
The venue is great for stuffed toy enthusiasts, but the food and service are only average.
During my visit, I noticed it was a cooler day, but a few mosquitoes were buzzing around, and I ended up with a few bites. The shop is filled with teddy bears and stuffed animals, giving it a cute and relaxing vibe — though it would be even more enjoyable without the mosquitoes and warmer temperatures. The fast internet and quiet atmosphere encouraged me to return. However, I soon discovered that many items on their menu were unavailable, and the advertisements didn't always reflect what was actually offered. When I tried to modify some of my drink orders, such as requesting crushed ice, I was told they had to stick to their "standard." The cakes were decent enough for nibbling while working, but nothing special. We also tried their all-you-can-eat pasta offering. While the pasta tasted good, the rules were frustrating. Before ordering, I checked the rules and was informed that "no leftovers" was a strict policy. The deal runs from 1 pm to 5 pm daily, but since the chef doesn't arrive until 1:30 pm, that meant waiting even longer to dig in. I suggested they update their advertisements to reflect this. When I asked if we could order all four types of pasta at once, I was told it wasn’t possible, so we decided to place orders one by one. However, it took 20 to 30 minutes for each order to arrive, and we could only order one pasta dish at a time per person. Despite these issues, we chose to go back to Bear Cups Patisserie, but that might change after our most recent experience. After Typhoon Nina caused disruptions, we visited Bear Cups around 1 pm. There were only a few customers. We plugged in our devices and ordered food. At 2:30 pm, we were told we would be charged 30 pesos per hour for each socket we used, starting from 1 pm. Along with our 99 pesos meal, 199 pesos for the all-you-can-eat pasta, and a few 135 pesos beverages, we had to add the socket charge to our bill. When I asked if this was a permanent policy, the response was a definitive "yes." To be honest, being informed of this charge felt rude, as if they were trying to repel customers. Now I understand why so few people choose to visit. My advice to others? Avoid plugging in laptops or gadgets at Bear Cups to escape the extra charge. Bring mosquito repellent. It's probably better to seek out other coffee shops or patisseries.
I love the ambiente. the food tasted great.
