Saravana Bhavan - Nadi

I have visited this restaurant a few times. Sometimes, the staff can seem a bit impatient when they are busy. On one occasion, I was surprised to be told that I couldn't order rotis because I would have to wait for them, which was a bit odd. However, I was happy to discover that the masala dosa is vegan, and they also have vegan curries available for the thali plate. There seemed to be some confusion among the staff about whether the curries are always vegan or not. The dhal was particularly fantastic. Overall, it was a good experience. We stumbled upon this hidden gem and had a wonderful experience. The staff was welcoming and helpful when we made our choices. We tried the paper-thin Masala dosa, which was easy to eat and delicious. The dosa with potato filling was a hit as well. It had a bit of spice, but was still enjoyable for those with European taste buds. We didn't enjoy the homemade lemonade though, as it was too sweet for our liking. They don't offer any soft drinks on the menu. Overall, we can't give it a perfect rating because they serve dairy products.

A friend from Kerala recommended this restaurant for authentic South Indian cuisine, so we decided to try a variety of dishes on the menu. We ended up going back several times to sample more of their delicious offerings. Our favorites were the spicy idly and dosa.
