T Sandwiches - Nacogdoches

The ambiance may not be the most impressive, but their sandwiches are absolutely fantastic! The vegetables and bread used in the sandwiches are incredibly fresh. Additionally, their spring and summer rolls are delightful as well.

I have to admit, I didn’t have high expectations for the beef pho, but I was completely wrong! It’s absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back for more. Plus, it’s really affordable!

The owner, T, seems to have translated his menu for the local crowd, but it still features the typical offerings you’d expect from a Vietnamese sandwich shop—though the names have been adapted to something that fits the Nac Mall vibe, I guess. Ordering a bowl of Pho and enjoying a Vietnamese coffee for dessert is no problem at all. T's Pho is good; it's not the best I've ever tasted, but given that the next best place for Pho is three hours away, I'm definitely going back. I also want to try one of his sandwiches, which I've heard are fantastic, and an avocado smoothie—don't dismiss it until you give it a shot! If you're new to Pho, it’s served with a side of fresh herbs, chilies, and bean sprouts, along with hoisin sauce (an Asian barbecue sauce), Sriracha (a hot chili sauce), and soy sauce. You can adjust the flavors to your liking. Just be cautious with the Sriracha if you're sensitive to spices—it's flavorful, but a little goes a long way. When you add the fresh ingredients, let them soak in the broth for about a minute so the flavors blend, and the hot broth will slightly soften the bean sprouts.

Unpredictable size!. The beef pho is very good. Good friends of mine took me to the yellow restaurant at Nacogdoches Mall aka The Hall. I took my husband who had eaten a bit hesitant Vietnamese food in Nacogdoches of all places and he loved it! We've been for phony several times. We also had the summer rolls and spring rolls that are both very good. The owners are also very nice!

What began as a confused phonecall, became one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. After blindly choosing the combination pork and chicken, I sat in my car immediately eating this food gold. Nestled into the back of a dying mall, this secret gem can easily become a workday break. At low cost to (good) food ratio, I'll be coming back for more, often.
