I reserved a spot for afternoon tea on a Saturday. Unfortunately, I had to wait over an hour for the food, despite it not being particularly busy. Given the price of £37.50, I expected a few more treats. However, the sandwiches and cakes were of good quality.

We had a fantastic experience at The Pippin Tree. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The food was absolutely incredible. All four of us agreed that it was one of the best meals we've ever had. We will definitely be recommending it to everyone. Thank you to the entire team at The Pippin Tree!

Our friends recommended this restaurant, so I made a reservation for my wife's birthday, and we were absolutely delighted. The food and service were outstanding. We started with scallops and enjoyed beef with monkfish for our main course. The quality of the meat was exceptional, and the presentation of the dishes was stunning. I mentioned to the manager that we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and a few minutes later, a thoughtful birthday treat arrived at our table along with some delectable macarons—a lovely gesture. We also had a fantastic conversation with Nathan about wines, and we're excited about an upcoming wine pairing tasting night. Overall, the food, service, and attention to detail were impressive. The hotel is stunning, but opting for the dinner bed and breakfast package turned out to be a mistake. The dining experience was disappointing. The menu available to us was quite limited, and the food lacked flavor. The goat cheese starter was particularly unappetizing—it was presented as whipped goat cheese in a panna cotta style, which was simply not enjoyable. When we voiced our concerns to the waiter, he merely shrugged them off. The main courses didn't fare much better. The chefs really need to sample their dishes before serving. My husband’s sea bass was a small portion, and my pork loin was very chewy. The desserts were the best part of the meal, but that isn't saying much. I don't typically write reviews, but since we were celebrating our anniversary, I felt let down by the food. The hotel is lovely, but they really need to rethink their dining options, as guests like us anticipate a complete and satisfying dining experience.

I don't usually write reviews, but this meal was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My partner had the lamb, and I had the beef fillet. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic, cooked perfectly with delicious sides. I highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience. 10/10.
