Simply Southern Smokehouse

What a delightful surprise! I typically opt for takeout and use the drive-thru, but today, I took some family members visiting from out of town to Simply Southern for lunch, and we decided to dine in and try the buffet. We already knew the food would be excellent, but we were in for a treat! The lunch buffet was incredible, overflowing with a variety of salads, vegetables, cornbread, spaghetti, fried chicken, BBQ, baked chicken, and, of course, delicious cobblers—blueberry and peach! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did! They have a singing waiter! Ahmad entertained us with several classic songs that we really enjoyed. We absolutely loved the experience! I highly recommend stopping by, trying the buffet, and soaking in the a cappella music!

The buffet selections are well thought out, offering excellent country cuisine.

"When you arrive, you pay first and then choose your own table. You serve your own soda and can help yourself to the food. Once you're finished, just leave your plates at the end of the table, and utensils can be set down on napkins. A busser will come by to clear the plates. You can go back for more food until you’re satisfied. The mustard greens were a bit bitter, and the coleslaw wasn’t really to my liking, but the cabbage was excellent! The fried chicken was also fantastic! One downside was that it was quite cold inside. On a brighter note, the busser provided us with some free entertainment! Hallelujah!"

Delicious and it satisfied the craving for soul food.
