Shuckers Raw - Myrtle Beach

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. We decided to try a different place based on a local's recommendation, as we typically go to Binimins. We were impressed with the steam pot oysters offered here. The restaurant lived up to our expectations - it was unique and had a bit of historical charm. We give it a 5-star rating.

The food was excellent, as was the service. The grouper fish bites with hush puppies were delicious, as were the dozen raw oysters. The grilled grouper dinner with broccoli and French fries was amazing. The grouper sandwich was perfectly cooked and the onion rings were really good. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the seafood. The atmosphere was laid back, like a typical oyster bar. Shorts and t-shirts were acceptable attire, as well as slightly dressier outfits. Overall, a great dining experience.

Fantastic! Old school Oyster house that serves very fresh oysters and seafood. We ordered two dozen raw oysters and they are served with saltines and cocktail sauce, lemons, and horseradish. Also ordered the Seafood Boil with crab legs. One of the best Low Country boils I have ever had. Our server Candius was great! If you are looking for authentic local atmosphere and great oysters this is the place to go.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and were given the freedom to choose our own seats. A server promptly attended to us and was very friendly and attentive. Our food was served quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. We began our meal with fried oysters, which were a bit salty but still quite tasty. I opted for the fried fish sandwich with the catch of the day, which turned out to be grouper. While I felt that the fish could have been seasoned more, the sandwich was still delicious and filling. In conclusion, I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future.

Went for happy hour on a Thursday. They have a patio if you prefer outdoor seating. Great prices on delicious shrimp and oysters. Reasonable beer prices also. The service was friendly, busy but slow. It did get very busy in 20-30 minutes which attributed to the slow service.
