The food here was really awesome. The grouper was the best I had in the area. Their hush puppies are unique in shape but good nonetheless. Cole slaw is...
We are pretty big fans of Mr. Fish and visit when we are in town. We also recommend it to others and nobody has ever told us about a bad experience! We went as a party of 5 for dinner--4 adults and 1 child. We were seated immediately which was nice (it was a Tuesday evening). We had the crab cake sandwich, the black and blue fish sandwich, a fried flounder platter, a broiled flounder platter, and kids chicken tenders. My parents also got a bowl of the she crab soup. Our server greeted us with hush puppies that taste similarly to a sweet corn bread. They were hot and crispy. The she crab soup was very thick and rich, with a slight kick as an aftertaste. I 'm not a spicy fan but it was perfect for me! The entrees were very good. The crab cake sandwich was more of a deviled crab consistency but it tasted great and was full of crab meat! The black and blue sandwich is a blackened tuna filet covered with blue cheese and a raspberry wasabi sauce. It was one of the strangest thing I 've ever eaten but pretty tasty despite itself. The flavors didn 't cancel each other out, which is impressive. The flounder plates were both good but the favorite was the broiled flounder. My parents and husband all had a bite or two and raved about it! The chicken tenders looked tasty and did not appear to be a frozen out of the bag but seemed like they were homemade. We didn 't save room for dessert this time unfortunately! We have had the chocolate grit pie before and it is a family favorite!
Skip the all you can eat buffets and come to Mr fish. Better quality and your food isn't sitting under a heat lamp. Each dish was exactly what we wanted and at a price that was not heart stopping. Small simple place that you will enjoy. This is one of the few places in Myrtle beach that I would come back to.
