El Cerro Grande - Myrtle Beach

Service was horrible!!! 4 out of 5 did not get their initial drink. When asked for refills we were given water. 4 out of 5 did not receive food, 2 were finished before the 5th received food do to server being nonexistent. When 5th received food plate was extremely hot, rice and top of food were burnt to crisp like it sat in window during that whole time. The only reason 2 stars were given was because food was good.

We visited this restaurant for the first time since it was recommended and the service was terrible. I tried to talk to the GM when a server mentioned I wanted to see whomever the GM was. We never seen this person to discuss how unprofessional the entire staff was or give my recommendation since we are both in the food service industry but I guess they weren't too concerned. I was a Restaurant Manager for two restaurants in the the LA area and I've never had such a terrible dining experience. Honestly... if you want to have an enjoyable dinner..Yelp five star!

Came here for my sons Birthday. Was so disappointed! Waitress was non existent maybe saw her twice in the coarse of our meal. She had a terrible attitude like she didn't even wanna be there. Planned on asking them to sing and get ice cream for the kids but the poor service we couldn't wait to get out of there. Even the hostess couldn't find our waitress to get our check to leave. On top of it the food was absolutely horrible. I maybe had 3 bites of my burrito. It was very bland. It was hands down the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been too.

I 've eaten Mexican in more than a few regions of Mexico. This is authentic to various regions depending on who is cooking on any given day. It seems to me rather similar to NW Mexico (not Baja) but the TexMex lovers will be more pleased than will CalMex (esp LA) diners. The atmosphere is plain it 's clean but not high end by any stretch. The price is equal to other sit downs in the neighborhood but a touch high for general Mexican. Ingredients are as fresh as being here on the coast allows. The dishes are very good. Well prepared and seasoned perfectly to my taste. Service might suffer if you 're here during prime crowd being able to order in Spanish will help a lot. Even if your Spanish isn 't sharp. Expect this part of town to be crowded in Summer season at dinner time. If you 'd like less touristy crowd then visit the location south at 544 or west on 501. The food and service are the same at all three. Me? Green enchiladas. Maybe a chile relleno with it.

Stopped here for dinner with the fam. Everything was super delicious filling. 100% recommend. Thanks guys!
