Capriccio Restaurant & Pizzeria

2/11/17 - Fantastic dinner with 5 friends last night. As a Greek NY'er who's who married to an Itailian NY'er this restaurant is above avg if not excellent home itailian fare. From a couple of tasty tender and we'll sauced apps to classic itailian dinners this was a 5.0. The waitress was very attentive and the prices were also very good. Don't believe the nay sayers they are probably competition. It was a great local joint!

I am not one who complains I have never asked for my money back at a restaurant but when I am so "wronged" I will stick up for myself and speak my mind. My husband, my daughter and I go to capriccios all the time at least three or four times a month. We've always had great service until Friday. We went there for lunch my husband and I ordered large pizza half onion half mushroom my daughter ordered a small pizza with mushrooms. When our order came they had made our half mushroom half Onion Pizza on a small and my daughter's mushroom pizza in a large but they had not put the onions on half. So our pizza was not anything what we had ordered after discussing it amongst the manager and the server the manager said I just won't charge you for this pizza so I said that's fine the server suggested maybe they should make a new pizza but we didn't have time so since we're not going to charge us for that pizza I just said no we'll take this one. When the bill came it had both pizzas are there along with the onions that I never received my daughter who was supposed to have gotten a small but got the large was charged for a large they had taken $7 off of our pizza but I was expecting to not be charged for it as the manager had said prior. After arguing with the manager about it we just went ahead and paid the bill and decided that we would call the owner who we know from all of our times of going in there. My daughter called and the manager said that the owner was busy and could not come to the phone so she went up there to talk to the owner after trying to explain it to him for almost an hour he told my daughter in a very loud voice to get the F out of his restaurant and that she was a greedy *****. Now mind you none of this was our fault. I own my own business and if my customers not happy I don't charge them I don't call them names cuss at them and yell at them in front of all the rest of the customers this was the owner that was doing that and because of this I would never go back to this place again I guess that giving a $30 refund for a pizza that they messed up was not worth it instead they want bad reviews on every site that I can find.

The employee's treat u like ur at home. U can even order pizza by the slices which is great! Why I think that's great is because me and my friends were on a mission to try a ton of pizza places to get differ flavors and figure out which Pizza place is THE best! The ingredients they use on the pizza are all fresh u can honestly tell truly. The sauce was good. I wish the pizza had a bit more sauce on it but I'm a sauce person personally.

Today we tried Capriccio's based on Zomato reviews. The service was quick and friendly! The start of the meal wasn't good but it ended fabulous! The bread they serve when you sit down was hot on the outside but very ice cold on the inside. The server quickly took it back and brought it back well heated. The side salad was very cold and crisp. The lasagna was great! The pasta was tender, great traditional sauce with plenty of meat and creamy flavorful cheese mixture! Big portion! The cold anti-pasta salad was bountiful! The fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, OMG! Plenty of Italian meats, olives, mushrooms, and fresh garlic. My boyfriend didn't want to stop eating it but it was a huge plate full of food for lunch servings. This is a great little local spot! You must try it out!!!
