Cafe Rallaren - Myrdal

The food was quite normal. Latte too watery. But her sausage meat is the best she should get.

Nice friendly staff and delicious food. We stayed twice in Myrdal, for the first time only short, so only time for a quick coffee; the second we had a cozy lunch with fresh, delicious sandwiches and admire the view. The coffee was also good!

Beautiful, but also the only option you have in Myrdal to get some warm drinks. we rented bikes to go to flam and bike conditio s were perfect. friendly staff too. I would say dont book in advance because there is much in stock and the weather is not unpredictable, so you can rent a day or not. the journey itself is beautiful, but be attentive to the twisted road down and gravel. This is the only restaurant at beautiful Mrydal station. Beside food they also sell jackets, goggles and souvenirs. The restaurant is a self service one. It is an ideal place to spend some time while waiting for your trains. Worth trying...

I contacted Cafe Rallaren regarding bike hire as we were coming to Flåm on a cruise. We wanted something a little different than just going up and down on the train. This was the perfect answer! They were very responsive to the emails I sent and the numerous questions I asked and booking was easy. Collection was a simple process, bikes were in great condition and they provide helmets. They get you to check the breaks, believe me you been them!! The 21 km ride down was breathtakingly beautiful we stopped every couple 100 metres to just take all the scenery which would not have been been possible going back on the train. The first bit is steep and switchbacks tight but I managed it! You can walk the initial steep bit so don't let it put you off. Drop off is easy the is a sign by the station in Flåm where to leave them. A fabulous memorable day.
