The Campaign Room Bistro At Carberry Tower

Was asked to order before the rest of the party arrived. very enjoyed our meal. the waitress raised glass with wein still gone without asking whether finished what it wasn't, obviously! on the coffee. no heating and very economical decorations. sa with dumbbell could not hear music! coffee came. a quarter filled cup, no hot water only cold milk. was bitter and cold. asked waitress for vomiting (after 10 minutes wait to attract her attention as busy chatting) but her attitude reflected that she should not replace for the first time. she said: “What did you ask?” (black coffee with milk) I will do it myself” on her return she said: “This is the best we can do and if not satisfied, they need to speak with my manager” a young girl who obviously had no training in the human skills. the coffee was hot, but still bitter! we have eaten several times for lunch and enjoyed it very much, but will not be back for an evening meal. personal very inexperienced, no atmosphere (especially at this time of the year)! an expensive evening to be such a farewell!

Good choice of well cooked and presented dishes. Pleasant atmosphere with real fire adding to the ambience.

Efficiently received: starter elegantly presented and a good mackerel pate. The mains (pork belly and lamb stroganoff) were both pronounced excellent but were generous- we were unable to face a pudding, good as they looked, and made do with another glass of wine
