Very old local diner with amazing slow roasted loose meat sandwiches. The sauce is a regional legend.

Came here after a local recommendation, absolutely amazing BBQ! Homemade baklava too!!

Talk about unique roadfood, that's it! An old school BBQ. The food was absolutely delicious, the setup inside is very similar to a diner (also the Snappy fast service with a smile) the menu is very easy, there may be about 10 things, but its mainly over cut barbeque beef, pork ham. Since I had the opportunity to get all three on a sandwich. You have a very unique Coleslaw relish based grill sauce, then I never experienced anywhere else. Prices are not to believe it is really cheap.

Update Sept 2022: Prices have risen by a modest $0.20 in 3 years on pork bbq, and equally modest increases on the other offers. U.S. 31Barbque is one of 3 local food cravings that I satisfy after long absence for Muskegon. I prefer pork sandwiches, but also ham and beef and combos are available. The different cakes are highly rated, but I can only talk about the Baklava, its a good way to finish your meal. The meat is prepared in the premises and the sauce/relish is unique. After many decades eating here, it will never be old.

I left Michigan for 20 years. That's the only food I missed most. Love three times the meat. I'm glad they're still here.
