Spice Jar - Muscat

Was in here for Dakshin Routes a curated collection of South Indian delicacies. For the first time in a buffet, I got to try new dishes few which stood out were<br/ <br/ Ulundu Kali a rounded dessert which was very soft while tasting great, there was another dish placed near to it that had a more sweet taste to it which I could not find the display name.<br/ <br/ Kambankool it was served in a smaller version of the pot which had a bland taste<br/ <br/ Vegetarian sides they had so many vegetarian dishes where many sides tasted delicious.<br/ <br/ The only gripe was the number of non vegetarian dishes/ desserts were less.

How can i not do the dakshin route, specially when i have been in search for some good non vegetarian food in Tamilnadu!<br/ The story starts with the Dakshin Routes the food festival at Spice Jar!<br/ Must say i am not a buffet person at all! But this one is totally curated keeping in mind their regular guest as well as the festival. Me like always, opted for only the festival specials.<br/ Must say the best that i had in recent days! Chef Vellaisamy Ganesh and team have done a fantastic job. The spices and flavours are something very unique and full of flavour!<br/ Special mention to the massi gose bonda dry Tuna balls, it was unique.<br/ The valliyur zamin erachi curry mutton curry had some subtle yet amazing flavour.<br/ The fish curry and biryani totally bowled us!<br/ The savouries and sweets were authentic and totally yummy! Please note the dessert counter has other items too!<br/ Since the appam festival is on too. We got to try this awesome appam combo. Mallipoo appam Jasmine flavoured appam was soft and ful of flavour this was served with kheema and sweet coconut milk! One of the best and least expensive!<br/ The festival is on till 17th November for lunch and dinner!<br/

After long time met chef Kishore in The Residency hotel. We used to step in to Mainstreet in Residency Towers Hotel where we met him once we liked the way chef Kishore approached us and made us to eat a lot .Now we came to know tht he was here so we stepped in , lovely food today we had at spice jar . This is our first time visit to spice Jar. Wide variety of food both veg and nonveg equally displayed . Mouth watering starters . Chef Kishore explained us the buffet spread and others service staff was very active towards guest .The buffet price also a reasonable one when compared to other buffet restaurant . Today not much crowd in spice jar so my kid enjoyed a lot . Chef abdhulla made us a good lava cake for my kid .she enjoyed .Here we found very good hospitality .Will make sure will plan a day to be present with my whole family to spice jar.

Went for lunch buffet along with my friends. Wide spread buffet. Tasty. Good choices to both veg and non-veg. Value for money. Service is too good. Starters are on table service. Live counters are the special mention.
