We accidentally landed to Savya Rasa, instead of going to Soy Soi! <br/ <br/ From the entry point, we were amazed at the courteous welcome. Still wondering why everyone were wearing Saree and Dhothi in a Korean/Pan-Asian restaurant. <br/ <br/ We were placed at a beautifully decorated table, with plantain leaves! Still, it did not hit our mind that 'we at the wrong place '!<br/ <br/ When we received the Menu book... it struck us hard. <br/ <br/ Since we liked the ambiance and staff, we stayed to experience what life had to offer!<br/ <br/ We had Non-Veg Thali! It was DELICIOUS. One of the BEST!
I love authentic south indian food since my trip to kerala and i found out about savya rasa from Facebook.<br/ <br/ I had Pudalakkaya perugu pachadi. This pachadi made of snake gourd and yoghurt tempered with mustard and red chillies.<br/ <br/ It's really amazing. <br/ <br/ Appam, Malabar Parrotta, pappadam is must with all the dishes.<br/ <br/ In starters I had Ulli vadai. Anjal Rava fry. All are lip-smacking. <br/ Now move to main course I had vellai Kurma, Korai Gassi. <br/ Simply worth going to this amazing place.
Been wanting to go here for the longest time and finally had the chance to visit for their Millet food festival. If you are looking out for having tasty but healthy food, this is a must place to try!<br/ Located in the same building as Soy Soi, they've outdone the ambience. They bring us the four different south Indian cuisines and so the interiors are very traditional and aesthetically done. With warm lights and comfortable seating, you'll have a wonderful dining experience here.<br/ What we tried,<br/ Drinks Nannari sharbath, was a bit too sweet for my taste but they immediately changed it when I suggested.<br/ Tender coconut with honey, with chunks of coconut, tasted very refreshing.<br/ Starters Yeral varuval, big prawns fried with golden crumbs. It was very delicious.<br/ Kurumilagu karuveppilai meen, this was vanjaram fry with curry leaves. Though the taste was good it had the raw fish smell.<br/ Mains Saamai chicken biryani, made with millet rice was good. I felt the taste to be enhanced when had with the chicken kozhambu.<br/ Naatu kozhi kolambu, this was outstanding. A must try dish. It was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked to perfection.<br/ Kambu dosa, with chopped onions and peppers and served with three different types of chutney. Another delicacy, but could have been crispy as i like my dosas that way.<br/ Raagi roti, a thick roti made with ragi, didn't expect this will taste so good. Another must try. and was super filling.<br/ Dessert Paruthi paal halwa, drenched with ghee and made with all natural ingredients, stole the show. If you're a sweet tooth person, blindly order this one.<br/ <br/ Their service was really good. They patiently attended to all our needs and got our feedback on everything.<br/ Their pricing was a bit on the higher side, but worth the quality and quantity provided.
The ambiance is good and service is very efficient. Don't expect anything fancy with the ambiance it's got just what it needs. If you are looking for proper south Indian food, this is the place to go! Starting from the desserts every dish was authentic and super delicious. The service is amazing and very well behaved staff, flawless service and quick serving of the food, what else do you need?
