Backyard Bottleshop Taproom - Murrieta

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite having a good selection of beer, Amanda's rude behavior left a sour taste in our mouths. When we asked for an American IPA, she gave us two different options and then refused to give us any more information. She even suggested we try to get free beer. We were informed that this wasn't a brewery, even though we had traveled across the country to visit different breweries. We were also told to drink outside, but after expressing our discomfort with sitting in the cold, we were allowed to sit in the back room. It's clear that the owner should be aware that the behavior of their staff can make or break a customer's experience.

In contrast to Jerrilyn's experience, Amanda was absolutely amazing. I was sitting at the restaurant when Jerrilyn entered with her adorable puppy. She asked some questions about the American IPA, and when Amanda helped her, she offered some free tastings. Unfortunately, Jerrilyn was upset to hear that free tastings weren't available for everyone since the restaurant wasn't a brewery. Despite this, Jerrilyn decided to order two drinks for herself, which I suspect made her a bit tipsy. When they were asked to move to the back room instead of sitting outside, they didn't comply and instead stayed in the main seating area for an hour with their drinks, writing negative reviews. It's a shame to see someone embarrassed by their behavior, and I suggest they take care of their pup.

This unique place in Murrieta offers 22 rotating taps, 175 bottles available for on-site or take-home purchases, wine by the glass and bottle, events, and a lounge atmosphere. The staff and patrons are friendly, creating a welcoming environment without a loud bar atmosphere.
