Very recommended when you stop at Myrtle Beach and it from Murrells Inlet.. Tons of live bands and entertainment. Traffic is crazy, but a great place to check.
My first visit, but definitely not the last one. From the atmosphere, the staff, the decor and the food everything was on the spot. We came with a big group for a birthday party and they could easily accommodate us. Our server was excellent and the food was excellent. Every penny and then some.
How can you not try this place with a name like Dead Dog Saloon. A nice restaurant with views of the waterways. It was a hot day so wanted cold beers and steam shrimp which hit the spot. The other was a prime rib cheesesteak. That was a winner. Prices ar ed reasonable and service attentive.
The menu is solid and has a nice variety of options. This is a good spot to take family or grab a drink at their large bar. It?s a bit shabby chic inside and very busy. We sat inside and would have preferred sitting outside but it was a long wait. The drinks were okay (spicy margarita was better than the ultimate). The pulled pork dinner was great as well as the inlet trio of crab cake, scallops shrimp. Hard to say it was excellent due to the local competitors but still a viable option if you want to eat on the marsh walk along the inlet.
I will say at first I didn't want to eat here because the name sounded weird for a restaurant but we decided to give it a try anyway. I liked that the building is right on the marsh at Murrell's inlet so sitting outside to eat when it's warm outside would definitely be wonderful. The food was very good and served in a timely manner. We ordered the seafood trio and pulled chicken meal...no complaints on either and we actually had leftovers from one to take with us. The complimentary hush puppies with sweet butter was also a surprisingly great combination...would definitely recommend everyone try them! Our waiter was friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait on anything while enjoying our meal. Now to explain the name...the walls in the restaurant are covered in pictures. After being seated and taking time to look around I realized that it's people's dogs that have passed on and they've shared a picture with birth date and death date making the whole building basically a huge tribute to man's best friend. I thought that was a really awesome and meaningful idea for a restaurant! The only complaint I have is the added fees such as destination fee, etc...
