Murray Downs Golf & Country Club

The rooms don't look like much from the outside but wait till you are inside. Was very impressed with the size. Bathroom was beautiful with a huge free standing bathtub! I did not get the change to look around the club but the grounds appeared very well kept from what i saw. Staff were very friendly.

Recently had our Xmas in July luncheon there and the club excelled themselves with the great spread they put on, much more than anyone could eat and such a variety.

The golf course at Murray Downs is well worth playing. There are plenty of challenging holes on this scenic course. Three of us, all over the age of 60,stayed on site. Our room was ok but in desperate need of a renovation. The staff were friendly. We had dinner and being a Sunday night it was very busy because there was a member's draw which was worth nearly $4000. Nevertheless our food came in reasonable time and was tasty.

Found this place by accident after staying at the resort and what a find. Kids eat free on Mondays, $4 extra for amazing kids pack, drink and dessert. Mon was also steak night and what an amazing meal it was. The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in the door; kids were welcome and even had a kids club area supervised if we wanted it. (We didn't use this space but it looked good). All of our meals were wonderful, the service was incredible and we are calling it our find of the holiday. The kids roast as an option for dinner was wonderful. So nice to not just offer chips as an option. We will certainly return when we come back to Swan Hill.

I had eaten at Club over Summer and was very disappointed. This time my family and I loved the food, ambiance and service. Staff at the bistro (and throughout entire club) are professional and most of all very obliging and friendly. The value of the luchtime specials was amazing ;a full size chiken parma for $12. Everything was fresh and well presented. Im glad we went back and gave it another try as we will now definitely be back again.
