Eventually, a man came in but he didn't even acknowledge us or make eye contact. It was clear he wanted us to order takeout, but we wanted to dine in. The table he pointed us to was dirty and had obviously not been cleaned properly. When we asked for it to be cleaned, he told us to sit somewhere else, but all the tables were in the same disgusting condition. He then proceeded to clean the table with a bottle of tire cleaner, claiming it was water, but the strong chemical smell said otherwise. The menus were just as dirty as the tables, making us concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen. We decided to leave without ordering and I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even to my worst enemy.
The Indian food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and worth the price. The service is great as well. I was hesitant to return after a disappointing meal a few years ago, but they completely turned things around tonight. I am excited to dine here again and highly recommend it.
Authentic food with casual service and BYO free corkage. We dined Wed night and service was good with how quick it arrived. True flavours and good serves. We couldn't finish rice or pappadums and sauces yum. Meat was enough in dishes but not too much.
My partner and I ordered saag paneer and chicken curry for takeout. We were disappointed as both dishes were very oily and lacking in flavor. There was hardly any chicken in the curry and the saag paneer was watery and had very little cheese. We will not be returning to this restaurant due to the excessive grease in the food.
We read the reviews for restaurants in Murray Bridge and decided to go with Delhi Express. This is a shopfront restaurant serving dine in and takeaway Indian food. The decor is downmarket but the chairs are comfortable. It is BYO only. We had butter chicken...a veggie curry, saffron rice and garlic naan. We found the curries mostly gravy, very little chicken or veg in them. The naan was more like roti than naan. The prices were very cheap but I would rather have had more meat and veg and pay a bit more. The flavours in the curries were, however, quite good.
