Desert Star Theatre - Murray

Used to love coming here, but it’s not as funny and entertaining as it used to be. The past 3 shows I’ve gone to, I think I laughed twice total. We used to get season tickets, but now it doesn’t seem worth the money.Plus, one of the jokes was unacceptably insensitive. I know a lot of their humor is raunchy/edgy, and that’s great. However, maybe don’t make a joke about finding dead bodies in the Jordan River. This joke was said just a month after my mother’s friend was found dead in the Jordan River. We were horrified by this “joke”. We all felt sick to our stomachs and couldn’t enjoy the rest of the show. We finished out the season, since we had season tickets, but we will not be purchasing tickets again.

Although we were among the first to be seated and have our orders taken, our pizza didn’t arrive until the first intermission, which was puzzling. The pizza itself was good, though not exceptional, but the show more than compensated for it. However, drink refills were not offered as frequently as I would have liked. The most frustrating aspect, leading to my deduction of a star, was the billing process. They bring out the checks in dim lighting and expect you to fill them out yourself. Our server was friendly, so I intended to leave a 20% tip. However, I was unaware that he had already added a tip to the bill. While I understand this practice for larger parties, it felt excessive for just three people, and he didn’t mention it at all. In the end, he received a 40% tip, which feels quite deceptive. Overall, I would recommend going for the show—it was fantastic! The food was decent, though not memorable. We didn’t try one of the enormous sundaes, but they certainly looked delicious. Just be sure to double-check your bill before signing!

An intimate venue with no bad seating. Food is decent, serves alcohol, and employees are helpful. The production I saw was called Top Fun. The stage and scenery were impressive. The cost was fair for the ticket price. If you enjoy comedy, piano music, and an environment filled with energy, then you should check it out. It is for all ages.

I had an absolute blast during my visit! It was my first time attending a play here, and I enjoyed it so much that I hope to return many more times. Discovering this hidden gem was such a delightful surprise! My friend got the tickets, but I truly loved every moment and had an amazing time. The performance was really entertaining, and the acting was fantastic!

I had an incredibly fun experience at this restaurant! My first visit was so memorable that I can't wait to return. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the prices are very reasonable. What I loved most is how interactive it is; the audience gets to join in the fun! The staff and the performers are true professionals who really know how to engage and entertain the crowd.
