Rule Of Pie - Murphysboro

The staff is friendly, cake is excellent. Small interior, so if there are more than just a few/two people recommend buying a whole cake. The Keksteig Sandwiches and Brownies are also delicious. Most are very rich, so my daughter and I typically share something. Coffee is brewed on the strong side, but (plain) creamer and sweeteners are available. Something expensive, but great for a treat now and then...

My new man and I always love Rule Pie as I started planning the wedding, I knew we had cakes instead of cake. Rule Pie was much more affordable than most local cake shops and the dessert was so good! We chose 5 different flavors and everyone tried to get bites from each. I had a guest asking about the place's address so they could pick up some cake the next day. It was a hit and the shop was so flexible with tasting, payment and delivery.

In my opinion, this is the only place to get cake in the southern Illinois. Every taste is delicious. I never had anything from here that I didn't like. You also have really good quiche. The staff is friendly and the shop itself has a pleasant atmosphere. They also use local ingredients whenever possible. Very recommend to give this place an attempt!

Got 2 coffee's and they were really good! Love how cute and rustic the inside of the business is, have yet to try the pies but I've heard great things about them. Maybe I'll order one for my birthday

This was my first visit to this bakery. Old school with a lot of nostalgia from the good old days, when downtown was the place to go. The pie was awesome and the owners were very nice. I enjoy seeing a small business thrive due to hard work. Check this place out!
