17th Street Grill - Murphysboro

BBQ was pretty good, great atmosphere and the waiting staff was polite. Had fried pickles for a starter. Ribs, Brisket, Sausage, French Pommes and Mac-n-Cheese. Good sauces and the magic dust were very delicious. The only muzzle was the ribs. Do not define fresh, most likely from the day before.

Wow! This is hands down the best barbecue I've ever had. I tried the chopped brisket sandwich, and here’s the process: First, take a bite of the brisket on its own—it's incredibly tender and packed with a delicious smoky flavor. Next, try it with the red sauce, which has a nice kick to it. But the highlight for me was adding the "Magic Dust" to the sauce—it's absolutely amazing! A complex explosion of flavors that you won’t forget. I hope my review doesn’t set your expectations too high, but I truly enjoyed it and I hope you do too!

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The brisket was big and flavorful, complemented by a wonderful blend of spices. I appreciated the laid-back atmosphere, and the service was excellent. I loved having my own house bowl, which added a unique touch to the meal. I can’t wait to return and try the ribs and other items on the menu. It's clear why their house spices and grilling techniques have won awards; the food is top-notch!

I had the ribs. They were a little dry for my taste. But the taste was good. My pages were really good. (Mac n cheese garlic bread). The waitress recommended the house beer that was a pleasant surprise. Id definitely recommend.

First time here and Kenzie was our server today and she did wonderful, really topping off the experience! Made a cocktail for me just based on what I told her I like drinking and it was so good. Recommended the burger and which toppings and side went well with and it all tasted good. Will definitely be back.
