Texas Roadhouse - Murfreesboro

I had the worst experience I've ever had at Texas Roadhouse. I ordered a steak that came with bread and shrimp (I’m not sure what it’s called), cooked medium well, along with a Caesar salad on the side. They brought me just my plate, without the salad or a knife. When I requested my salad and a knife, the wait was so long that I ended up eating my meal with my hands. When I finally started eating, I noticed that my steak was dry and overcooked, so I asked for a new one prepared medium well like I had originally ordered. They took my steak, but my salad still hadn't arrived. About 15 minutes later, my salad finally came, but my steak was still missing. Eventually, when the steak arrived, it was raw. By that point, I had no other food left, so I had to eat the raw steak by itself, with no salad or any sides.

The rattlesnake bites were tasty, and the chicken on the salad had good flavor, but the overall presentation was lacking. For a salad, an appetizer, and a drink, $30 felt a bit steep. Our server seemed nervous and shy, lacking any real personality. I don’t think I’ll be returning, as there wasn’t anything memorable about the experience.

We sat at the bar this evening and were attended to by Victoria and Arieyonna. Their service was outstanding, and the food was of excellent quality. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary—we originally met at this restaurant when I was working behind the bar and he was a guest. They truly made our experience special tonight. It was definitely worth the drive from Columbia!

I went with my family on a Saturday noon, the weight was reasonable, and the service deserves a 5 star because of our server who did an amazing job from beginning to end. But I had to give a 3 star because of the food quality and the management. The shift manager was going from table to another introducing herself but she did not ask about anything else. And the food was very average, the side vegetables tasted like it was made 2 days ago. In conclusion, this was the first time I have been to that location, and because of the food quality, it will be the last time.
